Martin Butler was born somewhere in Georgia in 1816 and married Margaret O'Steen Aug 19,1841,born in May 23, 1826 somewhere in Georgia. Both later moved to Maxville Fla. a small railroad stop west of Jacksonville Florida where they raised eleven kids.Martin and first son Allen were enlisted in Savannah Ga.July ,13,1861 in the confederate army. Both were wounded at the battle of Seven Pines May 31, 1862( near Richmond Virginia) and put in Chimborazo Hospital in Richmond where both died, Martin on June 2,1862. Both are buried in Oakwood Cemetary(CSA) in Richmond. Most of the remaining family are buried in Long Branch Cemetary in Clay County near Maxville Fl. My name is Donald Garry Butler and I have all the remaining imformation on all the rest of the family up to and including my three sons Mike,Patrick, an Eric and my three grand kids ,Ashtyn ,Colby and Blake.
