My family research is concerned almost entirely on the family ties of Isaiah Butler who reported his date and place of birth as 1806 in Virginia on the 1830 U.S Census 0f Cocke County TN.
Because the County Courthouse of Cocke County burned in about 1876 no official records survived and we have no documentation of the actual family origin of Isaiah. He lived in the same community , at least after the 1830 Census, until his death in 1877.
Isaiah was married to Martha Gregory and they had a total of twelve children. All have been sufficiently accounted for except one, a son William born 10Feb 1851, and last heard from when in Collin County, TX about 1890.
Any information on Isaiah prior to 1830 would be greatly appreciated and any info on the son William would make a complete family history of 200 years111
