I am new to this and am simply interested in knowing more about my ancestors. I was born in Rhodesia to (Frank) Christopher Butcher (known to friends as Chris), and Christina (Tina) Marion Maw. My parents emigrated from Gloucestershire to Rhodesia a few years after WWII ended; my dad stayed there until his death in 1991 - my mom is still alive and well in South Africa. I left Rhodesia in 1978 and emigrated to Paraguay and then in 2002, I left Paraguay and came to the UK (London) to live. My father's parents were George and Winifred (nee Richardson) Butcher (who was adopted by the Richardson family and whose biological mother, I have been told, was Norwegian) and I believe my maternal grandmother's first name was Priscilla - her initials were P H. After my grandfather Maw (don't know first name) died, my gran married a Mr Peach and went to Peterborough. After the second husband's death, she returned to her home in Gloucestershire where she died in January, 2002. I'm not a genealogist - I'm simply curious about both ancestors and living descendants/relatives.
