About Our Family Research

Have traced from my father, Robert E. Brewster to his parents,Edward Henry Brewster and Dorothy Martha Donovan. I have names of their parents, but no other information (birth dates, death dates, etc) Edward H. Brewster Parents: Edward Brewster and Louise Dalen. Dorothy M. Donovan parents: Michael Donovan and Goldie May Andrews.

My mother, Barbara Jean Nephew was the daughter of Harold William Nephew and Florence Delia Quintal. Harold's parents were Peter Nephew and Corrine (Cora) Malette. Florence's parents were Joseph Quintal and Rosalie (Rosa) Paquin.

On my grandfather's (Harold Nephew) side, I have information dating back to 1646 to Gilles Nepveu in Poitiers, France. The family name, Nepveu, has changed. As the language evolved into modern French, the spelling was changed to the simpler form spelled Neveu, having its origins from the latin "nepos" meaning nephew. The name changed again to Nephew. Information that I have shows the emmigration of the family from France, to Montreal, to the Ellenburg and Mooers Forks area, and to Malone.
The info I have on on the Nepveu (Neveu/Nephew)family is too lengthy for this essay.
