I have researched the Byrnes family since 1994. I started research in the Main New York Public Library in NYC. I located death certificates for my grandparents who lived in Brooklyn, NY. I did further research in New York City at the Municipal Archives on Chambers Street and at the U. S. Federal Archives on Houston St. I have used the local Family History Library; the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was there that I found my great-grandparents marraige record in County Westmeath, Ireland. Moving on to Ireland, I researched records in the National Library, where I found the baptismal records of the family church in Tubberclare, County Westmeath. I attended the Second Irish Genealogical Congress in Dublin and the Third Irish Genealogical Congress in Maynooth. I was able to find living relatives in Westmeath and Longford and have visited them a number of times.
