This male line of Caddell came from Northern Ireland to Australia via Hutchison Caddell (b.1836 in Portadown - d. 1901 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia). Hutchison arrived in March 1873 aboard the "Atrato" with his wife Jane (nee Hall) and some of their children. His brother Jeremiah Caddell (b. 1829 - 1895) also arrived in Australia on the ship "Cambodia" in March 1852 with his wife Letita (nee Johnson).
My female line includes Kate Morton (nee Carrington), b. 1893, Annie Carrington (nee Wilkinson), b. 1860 in Swan Hill, Victoria, Australia. Her father is thought to be John Wilkinson (details unsure) and Margaret Downes (nee Rogers) b.28/10/1821 in Acton Scott, Shropshire, England.
I married an Austrian from Vienna, Werner Dietz and we divorced in 1986 in Melbourne. His father was Franz Dietz, his father Franz Dietz and his male line is from Klosterneuburg and Grafenwurth, Lower Austria. The line is known back to Leopold Dietz b. 1740, details incomplete.
