I am just beginning the process of trying to trace my family tree. I was born and grew up in Washington Crossing, New Jersey. I have always been told by family members that my family is descended from General John Cadwalader of the Pennsylvania Militia during the Revolutionary war. I would like to confirm whether this information is correct. General Cadwalader was born in Pennsylvania in 1742 and died in Maryland in 1786. I don't have very much information about my family currently. My father's name was Charles Wayne Cadwallader and he was born in Washington's Crossing in 1923 and died in April of 2000. His wif's name was Iris Duvall Cadwallader. My Grandfather's name was Raymond H. Cadwallader, woh also lived in Washington's Crossing. He lived from 1899 until 1957. His wifes name was Laura Lawrence Cadwallader, who lived from 1886 until 1985. Raymond's father was Lambert Cadwallader, who also lived in Washington's Crossing. Unfortunately that's about all the information that I have now.
