After more research, and talking to family members in Memphis, Tn. I found out that George Wooten was born in Surry, County, Va. in 1835, and his wife Rebecca( last name still unknow) was born in Missouri, in 1833. 1870 census reports that they had five children at the time the census report was published...Elizebeth(13), Thomas(11), Mollie(7), Mary(4), and Daniel(2). We know also that there were (Pinkney b. 1874), and (Elijah b.abt. 1860)that were also sons. I'm trying to find the descendants of Elizebeth, Thomas, and Daniel, who may be in Va. NC, Ga, Ms, Tn, & Ark. Africian American, Mullato, Choctaw, & Chickasaw Indians. It was also said that George may have had the surname of "Boyd/Boyles" not Moore before his family was traded to the Wooten (dates and facts ofthis info has not yet been verified) E-mail me if you have any info that may help me in my on-going search....LOL audreyc@ftc-i.net.
