Andrew Jackson Caffey Moved his family to Comanche County, Texas in 1875. He was my great grandfather. After living in Mercer's Gap and Comanche he moved his family to Sidney in the late 1880's.
One of his sons Robert Preston Caffey is my grandfather and his son Wayne Little Caffey is my father. R P(Bob)Caffey married Mary Ina Weaver and they had seven childern. Mary Dell;
Robert Weaver;Jesse Frank;Annie Bennett;Ray Oliver;William Burton;& Wayne Little. All of these children went to the Sidney Public School.
One grandson and two great grandsons still live in the Sidney Community.They are Bobbie Jeff Caffey, Douglas Wayne Caffey and Bobbie Jeff CaffeyII.
We have a Caffey/Weaver reunion every year at the Sidney School. It is on June 24, 2001 and every one is invited.
