My mother is Emma Taylor Stitt she was named after her mother, my grandfather was William C Stitt he was born in Altoona PA. I was told that his father was John Stitt and his mother was Elise Rush Stitt. My grandfather was born in 1894 and died in 1993. He had 3 brothers and 3 sisters. I have not been able to find out who John Stitt's parents were, there are many John Stitts but none of them fit! When I was about 12 years old my aunt Alice who was also a Stitt before marriage took me and my sister to visit my great Aunt Erdean in Altoona PA, she was one of my grandfathers sisters. This was a long ride from DEL. The mountains were beautiful, I think my great aunt had just gotten in door plumbing,we went to Horseshoe curve. I was to young to think about asking my aunt anything about her father or mother. I'am just starting to look for roots,if any of this connects with anyone please let me know. I do have alot of aunts and uncles who are still living I will be asking them alot of questions.
