The Hay family came from the Carolinas to Georgia and then to Texas. David Hay and brother Hardy fought in Revolutionary War.
His son James fathered Hardy, who fought in Civil War. Hardy was the
father of William Henry Hay who was my grandfather

The Sanders came from Mississippi to Texas and married into the
Hinkle family. Lewis Goodwin Sanders married Maggie Ewing in
Mississippi and moved to Texas with their son, Lewis Milton
Sanders, my grandfather. He married Husa Sanders, daughter of
Solomon Hinkle and Fannie Leonard.

The Carey;s came to Texas from Kansas. My husband's father
William Wesley Carey moved to Texas from Kansas. His parents
were William Wesley Carey and Mary Ann Cauldwell My husband's
mother was Rita LaForce(LeFors) whose mother was Sarah
Gilstrap. They all came from Missouri, Ohio and Kansas.
