Memorial Day this year 2005 I located my Great Great Grandfather's burial stone. James Casteel was buried on his own property beside Slaty Branch Road in Broadhead, Rockcastle County Kentucky. There is no cemetery, only his grave with stone marker. Born 1816 died 1897.

Last year I found my Great Grandfather's stone in Laurel County Kentucky just off Allen School Road in the Old Casteel Cemetery. His stone is almost unreadable and I plan to replace it this year. David Weaver Casteel. Born 1843 died 1914.

I am currently searching for the grave site and stone of John (middle name questionable) Harrison Casteel. His final resting place is thought to be in Rockcastle County Kentucky near Livingston, Ky.
