About Our Family Research

IN MEMORY OF MY BELOVED MOTHER, JOSEPHINE CASTELLBLANCH [1924-2004]

My name is Francisco [Fran] Ramón Castellblanch. I am Spanish.
My first ancestor Castellblanch, Miguel Castellblanch [b. circa 1680-d. 1738] came just married with Felicia Calbo [circa 1714] from unknown place to a little village North-Valencia in Spain. He was the first founder of the actual worldy Castellblanch Family.
Miguel Castellblanch was the grandfather of another Miguel Castellblanch [b. circa 1780 in Murviedro (actual Sagunto city), Valencia, Spain]. Miguel Castellblanch founded the Mexican Castellblanch family.
He came from Spain to Mexico with any spanish military expedition [circa 1818-20] during the Mexico independence war and after the spanish troops withdrew he stayed on in Mexico City.

Literal extract from Miguel Castellblanch personal papers, propiety of a mexican Castellblanch lineal:

He was an spanish soldier and had the "Cédula of 90 Reales" and was married to a mexican woman, Maria Trinidad Madrigal circa 1824 in La Barca, Jalisco and had two chidrens; Basilio Castellblanch Madrigal, born in 1825 [La Barca, Jalisco] and Ramón Rodrigo Castellblanch Madrigal, born in 1831 [Guadalajara, Jalisco]. Years late his mother died during the cholera morbus epidemy [La Barca, Jalisco 1833]. Miguel Castellblanch was married newly to Guadalupe Pérez circa 1839 [Portezuelo, Jalisco] but had not a new childrens.
Ramón (I) Rodrigo Castellblanch Madrigal was married to Maria Salome Figueroa [Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, 1856]
Long afterward, in the early of 1910, a mexican Castellblanch named Ramón (III) Castellblanch Barreto, grandson of Ramón (I) Rodrigo Castellblanch Madrigal, migrated to the US and founded the US Castellblanch Family.
French Castellblanch Family was founded by Joaquín Castellblanch Caudet [b. 1871-d. ?], a second-cousin of my grandfather, who migrated to France circa 1930.
I have genealogical complet information since 1715 till now, and incomplete historical information about Castellblanch surname since 1317.
My investigations are always open. Its my favorite hobby. I’ve searched Castellblanch or Castell-Blanch family in Mexico, France and U.S.
