The Catholic church in Hennepin, Illinois showed me documents as to my great grandfather, great grandmother, and 3 living children also listed in the 1860 census. Troy Grove, and LaSalle census records confirmed that my grandfather (Burg)and Mary Catherine Mee(Zarhren) were also living in Mendota, with Margaretha Trierweiler Burg Brommenschenkel. She remarried after My great grandfather died in Hennepin, Illinois. I have the madifesto of the ship he sailed on from Antwerst, Belgium to the port of New York. One census reports that Prussia (always used on the census) stated Luxembourg as his home and also Margarethas. Apparently their marriage took place in Henry, Illinois, this info is from the Chicago "Archdiocis) I have to confirm this as they told me the catholic mission was in Henry, as Hennepin had no church build in those days. I am the last Burg from the Aurora, Il location, in that Jacque Matthew Burg cied in 1947. I visited the grave yard where Margaretha and Mathias Burg were layed to rest, and also their son Matthew Burg and his wife Mary Catherine (Zahren)nee Burg, all in catholic grave yard. Hennepin, and Mendota. Matthew H Burg and his wife are layed to rest in graveyard North Aurora. We have had no re-unions and no other family news.My birthday is Oct. 18, 1932. I have one sister who would like any info I can get on what has become a very small family.
