My father, Terence Browne (one of eight children) was an Anglo-Indian born in Madras, India, who emigrated to England in 1950, to Canada in 1957, and to America in 1959. Today our family is scattered around the globe. I am currently researching the current whereabouts of living family members as well as the history of our ancestors, who have their roots in India, England, Ireland, Norway and possibly other places. Other famiy names on our tree include Peters, MacKenzie, and Mullen. I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone who knows anything about the Anglo-Indian Community, which I have been studying for quite some time. I am also researching my mother's family, the Bredas. This a much easier task since they have been in the U.S. for many years. Other family names on my mother's side include Simpier and Wilcoxen. I hope to provide my young son with the most complete information possible on all sides of our family.
