Three brothers 21yr.John, 19yr. Samuel Murdock- Traveling merchants.1800-N.C.,Bertie Township. Beadford N.C. 1810. 15yr. Josiah Murdaugh 1790. N.C. James Murdaugh 1783-1790 Nansemond Co. Va. Taxpayer capt. King, capt. Hudnal, capt.Buxton. Murder Samuel - killed Mt. Ida Ar. 1859- Union Sympathizer. Courthouse records destroyed 1860-Ar. Lawrence drowned in Little Blakly Creek, Hannah killed by Jay Hawkos. Came to Tenn 1835. 1840-Mt. Ida, Ar. Cornelius Caine + Elizabeth 1822/9-18-1871; 1869-May 6, C. Caine guardianship of jesse & john F. 5-26-1870/deed heirs of hana 160 acres (sec 21 + with 1 rarp 21); 9-26-1891 taxes paid by Louis Murders $175; 5-16-1903 Pres. Benjamin Harrisen granted homestead document.
