About Our Family Research

We have been working for twenty years researching the Caselman, Casselman Line. Hans Dietrich Casselman and his nephew Christian Casselman left Adelshofen Germany and went to England in 1709 and came to the United States in 1710. They came here on the Ship Medford. Hans Dietrich was one of the original Patentee's of the Stone Arabia Patient in the Mohawk Valley in New York. The family was brought to New York as indentured workers to make tar for the British Navy. Hans married Anna Elizabeth Rinder. They had 6 children: Andreas Ludwig, Johann Wilhelm, Anna Barbara, Anna, Elise Greta, and Johannes.
