THE BARBARA CATTERTON'S OF LAUREL, MARYLAND

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

We are the Catterton's of Laurel, Maryland. I, Barbara Ann (Bobbi) Catterton-Avery, of Parkland, Maryland, am the matriarch of this family. My first husband, Jacobus Adrianus Gerardus (Koos) van den Berg, born in Wateringen, Holland, currently residing in Sterling, Virginia, is the father of my first born child: Michael Keith van den Berg, born in Wateringen, Holland, on November 19, 1964. My second husband, the late James Herbert Catterton, Jr., of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, is the father of three of my four children: Lisa Marie Catterton, born November 18, 1968; Jacqueline Francine Catterton, born July 30, 1969; and James Christian Catterton, born July 23, 1971; all born in Cheverly, Maryland. I have three grandchildren (to date) two born to my daughter Lisa Marie Catterton: Brannon Lee Dodge, born February 5, 1990, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Cody Ann Catterton, born March 8, 1994, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. My son Michael Keith van den Berg and his wife, the former Joan Hoffman of Salamanca, New York, have presented me with a lovely grandson named Jacob Burgess van den Berg, born February 12, 1998, in Seattle, Washington. At this point in time, we are all anxiously awaiting the birth of Michael and Joan's second child, which is due in April, 2000.
