The History of the Cazares Family, beginning 2000 and back

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

I have been long researching the family and ancestry of my husband and his brothers. Their father was Julio Casares who later moved to Mexico, changing his name to Julian Cazares. Julio was the son of Petra Torres and her first husband, dates and names unknown to me, by whom she also had a daughter, Francisca. Petra's second husband, Florentino claimed fatherhood for Julio later so a birth document could be drafted so that Julio could get a job in Mexico. Supposedly, Julio was
born in Texas, location unknown, dates uncertain. He is known to have married in Bryan, Texas in 1929 to a Leonora Aguillar, who would shortly thereafter die in childbirth with their only child, again dates and locations unknown. Not much of this family's history was ever recorded officially and not much exists informally either. If I could get to Texas, I might could check archival materials, but I can't. I'd appreciate help from anyone interested.
