mag. JURE J. CEKUTA
Was born in 1952 in Celje. Attended technical college in Maribor. 1979 – 1981 worked as painter and graphic artist in Chicago IL and Carmel CA, USA. 1982 educating paintings in USA : New York, Monterey, University of Hawaii Hono Lulu, San Francisco.
Numerous solo, (over 200) and group exhibitions in his native land and abroad, participated in Art symposiums in Slovenia, Germany, USA, Spain, Serbia, Monte Negro, Check Republic , Macedonia, Austria....
Jure Cekuta uses strong fundamental colors in his paintings which are also permeated by a strong sense of symbolism. Human figures and faces, flowers, and bottle shaped images appear in his pictures. The often quoted apple has become a logo for Jure Cekuta in his recent work.
Since 2003, Jure Cekuta is occupied with studies of master of science by Prof. Đuričković , M.Sc. In Nov. 2007 he defend a title Magister of art. In the year 2008, he applied for P.H.D. on Faculty of Applied Arts and Design Beograd.
Jure Cekuta create a strong impression on world wide art history.
