Notes for Marie Frank: Obituary from South Bend Tribune September 25, 1982 Mrs. Marie Champaigne, 99, of the Carlyle Nursing Home, formerly of 719 W. Lasalle, died at 3 pm Friday, in the nursing home after a length illness. She was a homemaker. Born on April 7, 1883, in South Bend, she lived here her lifetime. On May 27, 1903 in South Bend, she married Fred E. who died in 1950. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Betty Hildebrand of Sough Bend; two sons, Fred R. of Dowagiac MI and Jack R of LaPorte, IN; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11:30 am Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. Willaim. Rev L. Herschel Dyer Jr., pastor of St. Paul's Memorial United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday in the funeral home. She was a member of the Mager-Stephan Circle of the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
