Casten Heinrich Helberg (son of William Willnor Helberg) was born April 10, 1822 in Kreling, Drishorn, Fallingbostal, Germany, and died August 24, 1893 in Coopers Grove, Illinois. He married Catherine Marie Dorthea Bensemann.
Notes for Casten Heinrich Helberg: According to his papers when he immigrated to the US in 1867, he was 5'10", brown hair and brown eyes. They came right to Cooper's Grove per the Cook County History of 1909. He became well known and universally respected before he died. They came over to USA from Germany on "Tuisko" and arrived in New York June 17, 1867. Casten, age 45 was listed as a laborer and his wife Catherine was 44. Marie was 14 and Mena 5. Along with them listed was Dorthea Damianes age 22, a servant. Catherine lived with Hulda.
