I'm in the search of relative information of the late
Ray Edward Forrester. He was born in White County, Illinois on June 23, 1928 to Ezra and Fannie Mae(Bryant) Forrester.
In 1977 he passed away on January 13 in Saline County (Eldorado), Illlinois.
My research has just started. I have occasionally dabbled in trying to consume information but never pursued it in a serious matter due to lack of connections and a few minor discouragements along the way.
Ray is my father and sadly enough never had the chance to get to know him. I was barely two years old when he died. So most of what information I have is all opinions of people that knew him. I have had quite a variety of stories told to me, but overall he must have been a great guy according to them. Now that I'm 30 I am begining to have a lot of questions and no answers.
I know that he was married twice. The first being to Mildred Blackledge. From that marriage there were 7 children.
3 Boys; Ray Edward Forrester, Jr.(Butch), Charles Fredrick Forrester(Rick), and Kevin Dale Forrester.
4 Girls; Trudy Ellen Forrester(Dvorack),
Theresa Forrester(Baldwin), Karen Sue Forrester, and
Melody Kay Forrester.
His second marriage to Hazel (Buchanan) Forrester, produced only one child, me, Amanda Louise (Forrester) Cheek. In this marriage there were two stepsons; Ronnie Paul Forrester, and Terry Edward Forrester. Oddly enough they were also his nephews, being that my mom married brothers.
As far as his brothers and sisters there are 4 boys; Charles Forrester, Gary Lee Forrester, Ronnie Paul Forrester Sr., and
Bernard Eugene Forrester(died as a child). And 3 girls; Berdean Shounk, Deanna Barger, and Judy Hanel.
Throughout his life he was a truck driver. Last employed by
Denny and Simpson Trucking out of Harrisburg, Illinois. While Ray was working he had a heart attack and died on January 13, 1977. He was also a memdber of the Eagles Lodge in Eldorado, Ill. and he bartended there as well.
I have some information of personnal info of the immediate family members but I don't know how up to date it is.
