CHIVERS FAMILY TREE (SOMERSET AND SOUTH WALES) – 20/12/2000
My family tree research starts with Isaac & Ann Chivers whose son Isaac was born in 1760 at Midsommer Norton , Somerset and was baptised in Kilmersden ,Somerset on ?/7/1760. Isaac married Susannah Biggs at ?????. Isaac’s marriage banns were read at Radstock , Somerset in 1790. They had the following children :- James 1/1/1792 , Isaac 23/12/1793 (died 1865) , Jeremiah 8/5/1796 , Richard 4/11/1798 , George 14/3/1803.
James was my G/G/G/Grandfather and was an accountant at the colliery . He married Ann Weaver Abraham at Kilmersdon , Somerset on 25/1/1813 . William Chivers & George Chivers were witnesses at the wedding . They had the following children :- Susannah 13/2/1814 , George 15/10/1815 , Elizabeth Biggs 8/2/1818 , Elijah 8/4/1821 , Isaac 6/5/1822.
Ann Weaver Abraham was born 7/4/1789 and was the daughter of George Abraham & Mary Abraham , George Abraham was born 30/6/1756 and was the son of James Abraham & Mary Abraham.
George was my G/G/Grandfather and he married Ann Robins at the Parish Church , Walcot , Bath. On 15/2/1847 . They had the following children :- James 14/3/1848 at Radstock , Somerset , Mary 21/11/1850 at Wellow , Somerset , Edmund 25/11/1850 at Wellow , Somerset , Millicent , 13/5/56 at Wellow , Somerset .
Mary Robins of Bath was the daughter of Edmund Robins (plumber) and Elizabeth Robins.
Edmund was my G/Grandfather and he married Mary Radford at Holy Trinity Church at Newport in South Wales 14/10/1877. They had the following children :- Edmund 27/2/1878 ,Newport , John Charles 29/2/1880 at Macclesfield , Lancashire , Arthur , 14/11/1886 , Macclesfield , Lancashire , Mary Ann 8/9/1881 at Newton le Willows , Lancashire.
George , my G/G/Grandfather , died 14/10/1864 at Bray’s Down,Wellow , Somerset . My G/G/Grandmother was present at the death.
We are still trying to find where my G/G/Grandmother Mary died and where. She may have died 31/1/1908 Also where my G/G/Uncle JAMES went and whether he married. Also where my G/G/Aunt Mary went and whether she married. My other G/G/Aunt Millicent was thought to have been in service in Bath and later married an Evry in 1903. Mr. Evry was a fly proprietor (pony & trap ?) in Burlington Place ? in Bath . We would like to trace any Evry family
