I have traced my family back to my great great grandparents William Chinnock b.1795 and Maria Hancock b.1802. I believe they were from Frome,Somerset,England. Can anyone help me confirm this? They had four children I know of: William b.1835, Maria b. 1838, James(my great grandfather)b April 6, 1841. They were born in Somerset(Frome?), and Mary b.1843 in Monmouth. James married Jessie Ormond in Ely, Glamorgan, Wales on July 15,1861. James was an engineer driver on the railroad. They had three children in Wales, Maria Jane b.Dec.12,1861, Elizabeth Mary b.Feb.10,1864 died Nov.13,1866, and William Ormond b.July 6,1866. James and family came to the US in June 1870 with his brother William and settled in Cleveland,Ohio. Was a station engineer at a steelmill. Had six more children James Erwin b.May 9,1874, Ormond Thomas(my grandfather) b.Aug.30,1876, Jessie M. b.DEc.29,1878, Alfred John b.Jan.24,1882, Ruth P. b.Jan.31,1885, and Edwin D. b.Nov.5,1886.
