Welcome to the HOPWOOD Book.
This book is intended to be a record of family history, to gather together whatever facts genealogical, historical, topographical, or personal, relating to several families connected by marriage or bearing the surname HOPWOOD
The information presented here is based on research by my ancestor Robert Hopwood recorded in a family book of Hopwood History c1906.
There are two HOPWOOD family lines presented here.
One starting with Geoffrey Hopwood (C1430 - Oct 1509) and ending in the late 1600's with a family in Pembridge, Wales e.g. Thomas Hopwood ( - 1679)
The second starting with William Hopwood (c1700's) in Harlescot, Wales (again!) and ending with my Grandfather Gilbert Lowen Hopwood.
