I am a sixth-generation Texan, researching the family names of both myself and my husband, Otis Joseph (Joe) Choate, Jr. To anyone who visits this page, the following are the names I've discovered so far, and would greatly appreciate any information you might be willing to share on them. I am currently working on compiling information for a book on the Collard Family in Texas. While it will mostly concentrate on Elijah Collard and his descendants, I will also include as much as I can learn about Elijah's ancestors and how they came to arrive in this country.
