I am trying to find records of the Skill family in India who are related to me on my mothers side . I have records of only 2 in India : Robert Skill 1818 ?- 1838 , and his son Robert Charles Shadwell Skill 1838 -? but after that nothing , I have been told that the name Shadwell was added due to some relationship with Sir Lancelot Shadwell, but im not sure about this connection. My grandfathers name was Lancelot Shadwell Skill he died in India about 1945, he seems to be a bit of a black sheep and I would like to know more about him . The Skill family resided in Bangalore and the Madras area.
