About Our Family Research
Our family has immigrated to the United States over hundreds of years and has many names in the assioated linage. There is much rich history in this geneology and many hours and miles, sorting out and proving who the correct people in our heritage is with accuracy of prime importance.
I have interviewed many ancestors personally and read histories about many more. I have attended family reunions, and visited many cemetaries, court houses, and geneology centers aquiring this family history and especially the accuracy of this work. From experience I have witnessed many others attempt to do family work with much of it done quickly and carelessly with consequent mistakes. I have made every effort to insure our geneology is correct.
My personal family and the one in which I begin is the John James Williams, Vivian Vida Cook family (my mothers history) and Victor Choplosky and Domicelle Franckite, (my fathers history).
Victor and Domicelle both came from Lithuania in 1913 and married on Christmas day1914. My research in this family is limited. However, I have more than I could have expected when I first set out to do their research. My mother's family has been quite friutfull, providing hundreds of relatives with many rich histories.
John James Williams lived his life using an alias for reasons known only to him. He is from Yatesville, Pa., a small suburb of Pittison, Pa.his family immigrated from The Checz. Republic in 1910 where I first find this family. His wife Vida was from Nicholson Pennsylvania and much of the town and area are related. I have searched censuses records and microfiche for years with few breakthroughs while finding many others easily. I have experienced miracles in finding what I had assumed lost. Because of the mere number of connections my family history begins in Nicholson Pennsylvania then moves to much of the northern east coast of the USA and into Europe.
In Europe ancestores from England are most numerous and many royality. I have identified several Castles and many kings of legend. I have gone back in time and linked three lines with Adam (via. Juda) This has been a great journey through time that connects world history with family. I have enjoyed this experience beyond measure and hope to aquire many hundreds of hours continuing. Along the way I have met and will meet many relatives, some living others passed. I respect the privacy of those living relatives and share willingly those whom have past.
We are the Choplosky, Franckite, Williams, Cook family with a wonderful past and bright future, growing expotentially every day. Our Williams/Cook reunion is in Nicholson the third week in August. I am currently working on family books of both The Williams Family Geneology, and The Choplosky Family Geneology. When finished these will first go to those famlies who have worked so hard in assisting this work then I will make copies public.
Our family histories with the names, stories, pictures, memories, and legacy is a most important part of my life and my identity and doing this work for my ancestors keeps them alive and ties everyone together. I hope you have as much enjoyment connecting, collecting and preparing your history for what our ancestors have given us.
