I hope this website will help to bring more descendants of Baiersbronn lineages back to their roots. Most of the families of major surnames lived in Baiersbronns area (including other villages in the surrounding area), for over 300 years. These families are all so intwined with each other, that if you are a descendant of one surname, you will be a descendant of most surnames!! The lineages have been published in the Baiersbronn, Klosterreichenbach, & Freudenstadt Ortsippenbuchers, by Gunther Frey. From the late 1500's to about 1850. I have also added to these families using the microfilmed church records available at LDS research libraries.
Surnames Include: ARMBRUSTER, BOHRINGER, BRAUN/BROWN, BURKHARDT, EHMANN, EILBER, FAIST, FAHRNER, FINKBEINER, FISCHER, FREY, GAISER/GEISER, GLASER, GUNTER/GUNTHER/GINTER, HAIST, HEINZELMAN, KECK, KLUMPP, LAISTLER, MAST, MORLOCK, MUTZ, RAPP, RENTSCHLER, ROTHFUSS, SCHMALZEL/SCHMELZEL, SCHMID, SCHMITT, SIEGWART, TRUCK, WORNER/WERNER, WURTH/WUERTH/WIRTH, WURSTER, WURZ/WURTZ, ZUFLE/ZIFLE/ZIFLEN. Many others also.
Many descendants of these families immigrated to Ontario, Canada and the US, and usually they came together in groups of families, as they were all cousins. We would really like to connect all the families from Wellington Co., and Huron Co., Ontario, Canada & Huron Co., & Washtenaw Co., Michigan.
Please contact me if you think you might belong!!
