My father and mother were born and married in Opp, Al. They lived in Brewton, Florala, and Montgomery, AL. They moved to Columbus, Ga. about 1952. From here they moved to Brookesville, Fl., then to Tampa, FL. They were separated in 1958. A divorce followed several years later. Elum died in Baltimore, Md. on Feb. 27, 1967. Bessie died in Atlanta, Ga. in 1982.
My cousin, Bobby Wayne Hall I, did extensive research by visiting the National Archives and many living relatives of my grandfather, Daniel Sanders Hall. He also pored over local newspapers and census files.
My son, Robert Eugene Chrystal, Jr., did a little research of the family for an English assignment in his senior year of high school in 1988. Robert is a missionary in the Caucasus Region of Southern Russia. He has been there since 1995-96. He, at present, lives in Pyatigorsk, Russia.
My husband, Robert Chrystal, Sr. and I live in Owings Mills, MD. My daughter, Valerie Chrystal Adelung, and her husband, Jason Matthew Adelung, also live in the Baltimore, MD. area.
My middle child, Daniel Scott Chrystal, and his wife, Tania Nelson Chrystal, and their two daughters, live in CA.
