My name is Debbie Kay Christian (née Orton) born 17 Dec 1962 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I am the eldest daughter of David Bruce Orton born 19 Nov 1940 and deceased 9 April 2007. I never knew my father and am quite heartbroken as I searched for him for many years. My husband (of 30 years) and I found my father about two weeks ago when we researched an obituary in Saint Petersburg, Florida. My father was born in Springfield, MA and we are direct descendants of Thomas Orton (immigrant) from Leicestershire, England born 18 Jul 1613 who helped found Windsor, CT and died in Farmington, CT on 23 Dec 1688. This is my definite heritage on my Father's side. On the other side, I come from the Radfords of Derbyshire Somerscoates, England... and my grandmother (on mother's) side, the Drollinger / Trollinger heritage from Germany / France. I would appreciate help from my father's family to know more about him and share photos and stories so that I can honor his memory. I'm an innocent bystander in this as my mother told me nothing about my father and I'm having to find out all things on my own.
