My sister started researching the Berg and Christian families in 1968.
She has been able to trace the Bergs back to Henry Jacob Berg, Jr. ca 1816 in Reifelback, Germany. This line includes the Luffey, Wagner, Möller, Hohmann and Goettel families.
The Christian family goes back to Matt Christian ca 1800 in Germany. This line includes Volk and Vocht (very little info). My Grandmother was a Swisher. This line includes Morgan, Prickett, Bunner, Fortney, Hendershot, Springer, Turner, Wells and Wheaton families. The Morgan line is the Col. Morgan Morgan from West Virginia.
Also some other names include Brown, Dent, Hiobe, Hohman, Luffey, Middagh, Staats and Turner.
This is just the start and as time goes by I will keep updating this page with more information if possible.
