My father's ancestors came to this country in the second half of the nineteenth century from Norway, Ireland and France. My mother's ancestors arrived in America at about the same time as my father's ancestors but they mostly came from Ireland. Little is known about most of these people. A remembered comment, an address, or the age at time of death have been the spare leads I have had to use in my research on my family.
