I have a news paper clipping from the time of my husband's grandmother's death that states..
"Mrs. Rosie Elizabeth Christie, 85 widow of Will Christie died Saturday at Chickasawaba Hospital. Born at Ripley, Tenn., she had lived in Manila for the past 59 years. She leaves four sons, Walter Christie, Conway, Alvin Christie, Mesa, Ariz., Earl Christie, Manila, Tamadage Christie, St. Louis; Three daughter, Mrs Lettie Mae Sims, Manila, Mrs. J.D. Scott, Benton Harbor, Mich., Mrs. Harold Stokes, Peoria, Ill.; One sister, Mrs. Alice Clubb, Benton Harbor; Forty grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild. Services will be 11 a.m. tomorrow at Westside Baptist Church in Manila. The Rev. Benjy Massey will officiate. Burial will be in Manila Cemetery of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
I don't have a date on it but the best I can remember is that it was the fall of 1975. I was pregant with our oldest which would have made her 47th great-grandchild.

They have three sons and so far seven grandchildren with one on the way the time of this writting.

Terry and I met and married in Mesa Arizona. He re-entered the Army in 1979, and we lived all over the Pacific Rim until 1995, when he retired. We now live in Independence Kansas.
