I have been researching the Butts line and was able to go back 4 generations and have been unable to get beyond my gggggrandfather. All I have is my gggggrandfather's name William Abraham Butts and state of birth (Connetticut). William a Sr. resided in Delaware Co. NY where he died about 1856. One of William's son's was Jacob S. Butts and another son William A Jr. Jacob and William A Jr married sisters. Jacob married Lucinda Johnson and William A Jr married Laura Johnson. Both Lucinda and Laura are members of the DAR. I have also found with good documentation all of Jacob and Lucinda's children (11 in all, 8 boys and 3 girls.) If anyone has any documentation for William A Sr and his wife Yaetta from Delaware county, NY please contact me.
