John Lea of Saginaw, Michigan, c.1850, from Germany

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

John Lea, b. Feb. 2, 1848 in Germany was in Saginaw, Mi, by 1862.
He had brothers, possibly sisters and parents but nothing is known about them. The name "Lea" may have been changed from some other German name. Because of that possibility, he is difficult to find in Germans to America or on ships.
He married Mary Louise Schneider in Saginaw in 1873. They had 6 children.
Most of his descendents have been accounted for, but cannot make any connections to his siblings, parents, ancestors. I am looking for anyone who might be connected to John's brothers.
Other main surnames include: Dashner, Lafayette/Lafeuillade
Additional surnames: Schneider, Schmidt, Meloche, Mouflet, Fafard, Antaya, Morrow/Moreau (dit Duplessy) and many others. Approximately 1500 individuals.
