I started my research in the early 1980's but have stayed with it intermittantly. A lot of my information was supplied by my Grandmother (Nell Loomis Hubbard 1894-1993) and my Dad (George L. Hubbard 1920-1996) but they are gone now and oh how I wish I had asked more questions and written down the answers of what I did ask. I have been lucky to find that a lot of the information has been recorded and out there for me to find. Other sides of the family, however, are still a mystery and probably will remain so.

If you are just starting your research, the best thing I can tell you is to ask questions of all who are living now and write it all down. One day what you have written down will be a key to unlocking the past.
