About Our Family Research

My grandfather, Albert Franklin Golden, was born March 17, 1871 in Lebanon, Miller County, Missouri. According to his death certificate his father's name was Arvil (possibly Orville) and his mother's maiden name was Scott (no given name known). In talking with my dad, aunts and uncles during my research I have been told that Albert left Missouri as a teenager with two brothers, one of whose name was John. When they ventured into Arkansas my grandfather stayed and his brothers went on to other places. Here he met and married Nazy Bivins, daughter of John Richard and Angenette Bogan Bivins. They had twelve children together. Nazy died in 1928 and Albert in 1941.

I have spent years searching for my ancestry but with very little information to go on have been unable to make confirmed connections to the past. I will continue until the missing links are found and our family circle is complete.
