1st Generation: John Clements b c1783 VA (2nd m?), m Sarah (Clement ??) c1830 b c1811 KY Children: Jacob b 10/15/1826--1831 IL, Vianah b c1833 IL, George b c1837 IL, Mallicy b c1840 IL, Alexander b c1841 MO, Melvina b c1843 Arkansas. Last shown living in Washington Co, MO Harmony Twp 1850 census. Suspect the family went back to IL as oldest child, Jacob is found in Jackson Co, IL (Elkville, Desoto area) m 10/10/1851 to Margaret Farris b 1831 IL d c1861 IL . Thereafter,nothing can be found on John & Sarah. It is suspected by some members of the family that John died at a old, old age of nearly 100/yrs in Reynolds Co, MO.
Jacob 2nd m Nancy Morandy Stevens Summers 6/6/1863 Murphysboro, IL , a civil war widow of George W Summers, IL with two children, William Lawrence & Rachel Elizabeth. About 1878/79 Jacob left Jackson Co IL & moved his family to Reynolds Co, MO, later settling in western Iron Co, MO with the remaining children Mary Susanna b 1858 IL, Isaac b 9/23/1874 IL & Jacob Jr b 1880 Reynolds Co, MO. Most all descendants of Jacob Jr (my Grandfather) yet live in the ozark foothills of MO.
