My name is LeeAnn Cleckler and I live in Marbury Alabama.I am researching my father's family the Pierce family.So far all I have is this:My greatgrand father William N.Pierce dob: 29 Sept 1859 dod: 11 April 1904.Burried at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Chilton County Alabama near the Chilton Coosa County Line.He was married to Mattie Gordy dob: 8 March 1873 dod: 15 March 1958.She was a Native American from around the Coosa River around about where Mitchell Dam is now.They five children:Thomas Jefferson Pierce dob:1892 dod:1941,Argie Pierce Etherton dob: 28 Nov 1900 dod: 1 March 1997,Naomi Pierce Gulledge dob: 30 June 1903 dod: 16 Sept 1991,Frank Pierce dob:unknown dod:unknown,Tattie Pierce Headley dob:unknown dod:unknown.They lived in a part of Chilton Co that was called Broughsville.It was near the old graphite mines.Not much is known about William and Mattie.
