My name is LeeAnn Cleckler and I am from Marbury Alabama.I am trying to trace my father's family.Sername Pierce.My greatgrand father was William N. Pierce dob:29 Sept.1858 dod:11 April 1904.He was married to Mattie Gordy dob:8 March 1873 dod 15 March 1958.They lived in Boroughsville Al in the eastern part of Chilton Co a few miles from the Coosa Chilton County line.He may or may not have been post master at the Chestnut Creek post office that was located there.He is buried in Corinth Missoanry Baptist Church Cemetery.He and Mattie had several children:Thomas Jefferson Pierce dob:1892 dod:1941,Naomi Pierce Gulledge dob:30 June 1904 dod:16 Sept.1991,Argie Pierce Etherton dob:28 Nov. 1900 dod:1 March 1997,Tattie Pierce Headley dob:unknown dod:unknown,Frank Pierce dob:unknown dod:unknown.After William died in 1904 his wife Mattie remarried.His name was Louis T. Dennis dob: 14 Dec 1869 dod:9 June 1932.Mattie I am told was of Native American decent,but there is no one who knows where she was originaly from.So far this is all I have been able to find out.I may or may not have the names of William's mother and father.I haven't been able to verify this yet so I am not going to put them here just yet.As soon as I verify this I will add them.So far this is all I have.
