This Family Tree consists of family members originating mostly in Jackson Co., Florida. The tree contains more than 10 generations and date back as far as the late 1700's. Most of the decedents are African American descent. However some of the members of the mid 1800's and early 1900's are listed in the US Census as Mu (mulatto) and freed slaves. The members are listed as laborers and land owners. A large number of the freed slave members were well educated and wealthy.

The family members in the late 1700's and early 1800's consist of some wealthy whites originating mostly from N. Carolina, S. Carolina and Virginia.

I would like to hear from anyone that has addition informtion to contribute to this family tree. Please use this as a tool to educate the youth and preserve our heritage.
