I have just begun my genealogical effort. I have found many ancestors on my mother's side but find myself stuck with my great grandfathers statistics. John Clelland, the same as my father's name, born in mid 1800's, lived in Ontario or Quebec Canada. I have been told he lived and died in the Brockville, Ont. Canada region. I don't have his birth and death dates. I believe he married Margaret Londy who was from Ireland. However I have no dates or locations for either of these great grandparents. John and Mary had a son, my grandfather - William J. Clelland born 11/08/1864, died 06/27/1930 in Rochester, NY.
