About Our Family Research


I am trying to research my family tree for my children. Most of the ancestry from our family come from Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Vermont & New York. The names we are researching are Clemmer: Gibbs, Garner, Mosier,Mangan,Schirch, Smith: Vito, Spoden, Acheson, Riegal, Kwitkowski, Brockett, Streit and many more. I have found that the Clemmer side of the family have been in the US since before the Civil War and that they are Irish, German descent. The Smith side of the family came to the US from Ireland, England, Italy, Germany, and Poland. The Smith side of the family has a heavy settlement in Illinois. The Clemmer side of the family is predominately in Ohio.
