I am researching the Cleary family that settled in the Peterborough area (Ennismore, Downeyville, etc.) in the mid-to-late 1800's. My great-great grandfather was Michael (James?) Cleary, who married Margaret Stockdale in Lindsay, Ontario. Their children were Augustine "Gus" (who moved to Detroit), Daniel James (my great-grandfather, born 1879 died 1955 in Toronto, Canada), Agnes (Married Herbert Palmer, lived in Hamilton area, had at least one child, Cleary Palmer), Maggie (known as Mae, married a Duffy, lived in Hamilton), Min, possibly James (believed to have moved to Chicago), and others names unknown. The majority of the family was believed to have moved to the Hamilton area, but my great-grandfather moved to Toronto. Any information on this line would be much appreciated!!!
