Michael Doherty was my Great Granduncle;he was my Grandmother Minnie(Melly)Williamson's cousin,who was the daughter of Minnie Melly,her maiden name was Minnie Doherty(my Great Grandmother),Michael's sister,she married Philip Melly(my Great Grandfather).Michael was born in Donegal,Ireland and moved to Canada in 1894&worked with the Trenton Pottery Company.He moved to New Jersey abt 1908,met his wife,who was from Ballyshannon, Co Donegal.They lived at 9 Ogden St,Trenton,NJ&had 5 children:Richard,Mary Catherine(Sr Columba)B:12May1910,Thomas B:18Jan1911,John B:21Sept1912,died in 1917.Charles(at the age of 9 was sent to live in Ireland with his uncle as he mother had died, he returned to NJ in 1928.I retrieved all this information from letters Michael had written to my Great Grandmother and my Grand Mother.He worked for the Trenton Pottery Company in NJ for 30yrs.Letters stopped around 1934.Would like to know if you are connected.
