I have been looking for the above through military records, and have just discovered that he actually died on 2 May 2001. I believe that he was based in Ely, England in the latter part of WW2. If he was, there is a strong possibility that I am his daughter. I sincerely hope that I am not shocking anyone by revealing this, as I do know that his mother was aware of the situation regarding my birth, (I believe that baby clothes were sent for me, from her when I was born) the situation there seems to be less of a closed book than I have encountered here.
I would dearly like to be in contact with any half-brothers and/or sisters that I may still have in the States. I have been trying to find out more, but as my mother and adoptive father are still living and very retiscent about discussing my origins I have hit a blank wall. I have two half-sisters and a half-brother in England that I have known since I was fifteen, and they completely understand why I need to know more about my origins and have encouraged me to find out more. I hope someone out there can help me too.
