The Clines and Matsons of Eastern Ohio and Haleys of Georgia

Updated June 10, 2014

About Our Family Research

I am researching the family of John Cline of Beaver Township, Noble County, OH (and Shenandoah County, VA), the Eli Matson family of Morgan County and Harrison County, OH (his son Washington Matson married into the Henry Talbott family of Maryland though Henry's daughter, Elizabeth Talbott), and the James Rabun Haley family of Franklin County, GA.

I am also researching my maternal line, Carl H. Anderson of Door County, WI (who was born in Norway) and Christen Pederson of Manitowoc County, WI (also born in Norway), and I am seeking information on my maternal grandmother's biological parents. Her name was Vera Estella Nolan. She was born in or near Rcok County, WI, and adopted as an infant by Thomas Nolan and Jessie Maria Murdock. Her biological parents were Almous and Anne Turner who were married in Chautauqua County, NY In 1888. I am especially interested in hearing from anyone researching Turners in Chautauqua County, NY as Almous has proven to be quite elusive. It is possible he may have immigrated from Canada to work on the railroad.
