About Our Family Research

Where are you my long lost cousins. Berk County Pennsylvania is where your Grandfather is from. Into North Carlina, Virgina, and Georgia, they came. George Clower stayed in Georgia but his children and grandchildren went south and west. A few settled in South Georgia and Alabama. His son Jacob Clower moved to Talladega County Alabama and died there. Some of George's Children went on to Texas, Mississippi, and Arkansas. A group from Shelby County wanted to join the group in Texas but they got lost on the Mississippi river and ended up in Arkansas. They liked it so well they settle there. A few of my ancestors stayed in Alabama. Jacob Clower's sons John (Dock) Clower, Hillary Clower,(my gggrandfather) and Green Clower, died in Alabama. John (Dock) Clower died in Tallaega County. After John (Dock) Clower died, his wife Harriet stayed for a while around Marion County, but moved to Arkansas. Some of Harriet's children then moved into Oklahoma. In the 1870's the (s) was added to my line by my ggrandfather J. M. Clower.
